Gift Now, Pay Later this Easter with Zip
Friday, April 2, 2021

As last year most states were in strict lockdown during the Easter holiday, many were unable to spend it with friends and family. This year, many are looking to make up lost time with big gatherings at home.

SYDNEY, March 25, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- With Easter fast approaching, stores across Australia are stocking their shelves with gifts, merchandise and chocolate. While many parents flock to the shops to pick up items for family gatherings, they're bolstered by the knowledge that they don't have to pay them off right away. Many will pay for these purchases over the course of the next few months through a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) provider.

This leads us to believe that many will be splurging this month either on food to feed large groups of people or on Easter gifts for the children in their lives. With the popularity of BNPL platforms, many can now choose to spread out their payments over the coming months.

BNPL providers such as Zip offer shoppers the chance to purchase the things they need now and then pay them back later over the course of a self-selected repayment schedule. These interest-free payments make holidays easier and less stressful as there is no longer a need for large immediate payouts.

Catering to the season's hosts, Zip has also released a new feature called Tap & Zip. This allows users to utilise the BNPL platform for in-store purchases wherever they would usually use Apple Pay or Google Pay. A new venture for the industry, this targets those who need to do their shopping in person instead of online.

Traditionally a big food holiday, many also offer small gifts and tokens to their loved ones. Using a BNPL account instead of a credit card lets users avoid high interest-fees and large upfront payments that are associated with traditional repayment methods.

This Easter, as many will come together across Australia, there is a feeling of hope for this new year. Buy now pay later providers will aid these gatherings inexplicably with the opportunity to provide interest-free gift and food shopping, allowing Australians to celebrate stress-free in 2021.
