Senior Housing News Launches 2022 Architecture & Design Awards Program

Senior Housing News (SHN), an Aging Media Network publication, is pleased to announce the 2022 SHN Architecture & Design Awards, an annual competition recognizing all types of professionals engaged in building the future of senior housing.
CHICAGO, June 15, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- For this year's SHN Architecture & Design Awards, SHN welcomes new construction and renovation project entries across 16 categories, including two new categories: Dining Renovation, and Wellness: Health & Fitness. "The 2022 SHN Architecture & Design Awards will continue to push the envelope of senior living architecture, design, and development," said George Yedinak, founder of Senior Housing News. "I am confident the 9th year will showcase some of the most innovative ideas to date, offering a look at the future of senior living design."
Entries will be accepted until October 31, 2022. Winners will be announced in December 2022.
A panel of industry experts with backgrounds in development, architecture, and interior design will judge the projects, evaluating entries based on design and aesthetic criteria. Not only will judges analyze design elements such as color, light and landscape architecture, but they will also consider community functionality by analyzing key features that are critical to each property type. This year, judges will select 2 winners in the Renovation/Repositioning category: one for the best building renovation, and one for the best campus renovation.
