New Female-Founded Web3 Game Shakes Up Industry with an All-Star Advisory Board

Fashion League, the game founded by serial entrepreneur, Theresia Le Battistini, has appointed a board that includes executives from Unity, Milk Makeup, Riot Games, Animoca Brands and Yield Guild Games ahead of a mobile and PC launch.

ZURICH, Switz. , Aug. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fashion League, the first Web3 play-and-earn and free-to-play mobile game to run a fashion empire, today announced it had appointed an advisory board of industry leaders in entertainment, gaming and crypto to help shape its future with a community-led game that encourages players to build their own virtual brand.

The advisory board includes Zanna Roberts Rassi, Style and Entertainment Journalist, E! News and Cofounder of Milk Makeup; Robby Yung, CEO, Animoca Brands; Thomas Vu, former Lead Producer at League of Legends and Producer of the Netflix series Arcane; Beryl Chavez Li, CEO and Cofounder, Yield Guild Games (YGG); and Charles Tigges, Director of Business Development Games, Unity.

The number of women gamers is rapidly growing, and nearly half of all gamers are now women. Pandemic lockdowns have supercharged the world's interest in digital fashion, and the gaming industry is approaching $200 billion in revenue for 2022, while NFT market value has exceeded tens of billions. The gaming industry is much larger than the box office ($21B) and music industry ($26B) combined. With this demand, women-focused Fashion League is on track to expand its staff by some 80 percent by the end of the year.

The easy-to-use in-game 3D tool will allow players to become virtual designers and build their own digital brand. They will do this by earning rewards by designing, selling, sending models on missions and participating in design competitions.

This brings utility to a brand's digital assets and makes them tradeable by bridging the gap between virtual and real-life products. Fashion League's goal is to partner with brands to directly collaborate with the community through the game.
