Markt POS launches new features that streamline and automate manual processes and expand capabilities to drive revenue and increase efficiencies for small to medium grocery stores.
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Markt POS today announced new feature enhancements to its all-in-one, cloud-based retail point-of-sale (POS) software to further meet the needs of small-to medium-sized grocery and specialty markets.
Designed by multi-generational grocers with local shop owners in mind, Markt POS provides a seamless experience by combining all essential aspects of the grocery business in one platform, including payments, point of sale, loyalty features, ecommerce, and analytics. The new features, which include seamless wholesaler integration, bulk and mobile label printing, and at-register tipping functionality, help streamline and automate manual processes to drive additional revenue and increase efficiencies.
Wholesaler integration enables seamless communication between markets and their food distributors and wholesalers through a dashboard that displays current UPC, Cost, Price, Quantity and Specials (TPRs) shared by suppliers for up to 25 different product fields. Stores can review and accept or edit the proposed changes to ensure that they are always pricing products profitably and competitively, potentially saving stores thousands of dollars a month in lost margin.
Supporting the wholesaler integration feature is Markt POS's bulk label printing capabilities. Through a partnership with Zebra Technologies, Markt POS is introducing bulk hip printing and desktop printing of labels, enabling store employees to quickly and easily print and apply new labels for new inventory or prior to executing a price change.
"Markt POS is revolutionizing the way small and medium grocery stores do business. Our goal is to help store owners optimize their operations and efficiency so that they can spend more time focused on giving their customers the best experience possible," said Luke Henry, vice president, Markt POS. "I'm really excited about our wholesaler integration paired with our streamlined label printing. These features take Market POS from being the best solution for small markets doing under 10 million in revenue a year to the best solution for Independent Grocers. Markt POS streamlines all aspects of grocery store operations, and store owners can now save time on tedious manual tasks and focus more on what matters most - their customers."
Markt POS also this month released a Tipping feature, which completes and enhances Markt POS's Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) functionality and enables grocery stores and markets to centralize all of their POS needs in one platform. The new feature enables stores and specialty markets to have delis and hot food areas where they can sell made-to-order food items with custom modifiers. After placing an order for a food item, the receipt is sent to a kitchen printer where the kitchen prepares the item, and the customer is prompted on the PIN pad to ask if they would like to leave a tip. Tipping can be enabled or disabled for each register as needed.
Through robust hardware and innovative technology, Markt POS delivers powerful cloud-based functionality in an integrated user-friendly platform to help you run every aspect of your business, including payments, inventory management, and seamless integrations with scanners, scales, customer displays, and PIN pads to streamline payments and optimize processes throughout the store.
Markt POS is supported by a world-class team that understands the specific needs of grocery stores and specialty markets, such as butcher shops, corner stores and ethnic markets.
More than 300 stores have already adopted Markt POS for their grocery operations across the U.S.
