Sunday, April 16, 2023

We've been promoted to Platinum status with a large chip partner of ours.

MAINZ, Germany, March 10, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PHYTEC Technologie Holding AG, an industry leader for System on Module (SOM) and complete embedded solutions, is honored to be promoted by NXP® Semiconductors to Platinum status in their Partner Program.

With this promotion, NXP recognizes PHYTEC for providing embedded systems and complementary end-to-end solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in all stages of embedded product development, from initial concept and evaluation to mass production.

"We are very pleased to receive this designation," states Bodo Huber, Technical CEO for PHYTEC. "NXP is one of the technology leaders of advanced applications processors for embedded systems. As an NXP Platinum Partner, we closely collaborate with the company in support of i.MX applications processor platforms. By using an off-the-shelf PHYTEC SOM, combined with our Linux operating system packages and design-in services, OEMs will eliminate 6-12 months off their development timeline. Together with NXP, we will continue to accelerate the development of smart embedded systems."

A cornerstone of this partnering success is the shared commitment of NXP and PHYTEC to product longevity and supply chain continuity. Despite the many challenges of unprecedented constraints in the microelectronic market in recent years, NXP and PHYTEC were able to support accelerated customer demand for PHYTEC SOMs and other solutions based on NXP technologies.

"The promotion of Phytec to Platinum status is an exciting step forward, recognizing the importance of our ecosystem of partners to NXP's growth in key industrial and IoT markets," said Ron Martino, Executive Vice President, Global Sales at NXP. "Combining PHYTEC's strong reputation in reliable off-the-shelf embedded modules, software expertise and commitment to supply chain continuity offers a comprehensive solution to many customer challenges. I look forward to continued growth and future expansion of our partnership."

PHYTEC has a long history of partnering with NXP. In this partnership, PHYTEC and NXP have maintained close collaboration and product roadmap alignment. PHYTEC has designed, manufactured and delivered millions of flagship phyCORE® SOMs and related Printed Circuit Board Assemblies populated with NXP i.MX 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 series applications processors. PHYTEC is also among the few companies with tools and expertise to access the image signal processors (ISPs) integrated in the i.MX 8M Plus applications processor, and to offer calibration services for ISPs used in embedded vision applications.
