A returning military veteran finds himself embroiled in romance, friendship and rivalry
CORBIN, Ky., Feb. 22, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A romantic tale awaits readers as Bernard J Sieracki announces the release of his debut novel titled "We Spend Our Lives" (published by Trafford Publishing).
The story follows Johnnie Jones who returns home from the military as an unknown hero. He develops a romantic relationship with two girls of the same family -- the family of a friend of his. Adventures continue as he goes to college and becomes a football star. Along the way, he gets advice from a sweet old lady that leads to a very happy ending.
Based on a true story, "We Spend Our Lives" is an enjoyable read that features some very unique characters. It depicts how people interact with each other in a community, and how one handles romance, friendship and rivalry.

She realized that she could never take Mary's place in his affections. She was touched with his wound and felt her way through her thoughts for an appropriate lead in their conversation. She thought of the weather, the moon, the stars, and innumerable other things, but none of them seemed to be congruent with her desire to alleviate his present emotional disturbance. About the Author
Bernard J Sieracki was born in Chicago on the northwest side. He was educated at Our Lady of Victory Elementary School and Weber High School before enlisting in the United States Air Force. He spent five years active duty before enlisting in the North Dakota National Guard while attending Minot State College. Upon graduation, he attended DePaul University in Chicago then Creighton University in Omaha for an additional degree. After graduation, he spent a little more than 20 years working for the Roman Catholic Church. He currently resides in rural southeast Kentucky.
