CHICAGO, June 8, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- After receiving much positive feedback and coverage, Chicago Realtor Maggie Antillon-Mathews presents 15 new stories of Hispanic women who discuss their challenges and successes working in real estate in "Latinas in Real Estate Vol. II."

Available on Amazon, this newest addition to the anthology features authors from different states such as Florida, California and Tennessee who share their personal experiences and life lessons in this inspiring anthology.

The participating authors are the following:

    -- Pattie Santiago
    -- Richelle Moreno
    -- Joanna Segoviano
    -- Rosie Rodriguez
    -- Angelica "Angie" Henry
    -- Maria Figueroa
    -- Cindy Meza
    -- Pamela Re
    -- Rosa Castañeda-Velazquez
    -- Mabél Guzmán
    -- Laura Moa
    -- Irma Deleon
    -- Yoly Magaña-Valencia
    -- Maria De Lourdes Rios
    -- Ana Sol

Antillon-Mathews explained that creating Volume II was "a natural thing to do. I have met and worked with many incredible women in the real estate field who were eager to share their stories as well. I felt their stories deserved to be heard, and I wanted to create a platform to amplify their voices. Readers appreciated the authenticity and reliability of the stories, and were inspired by the unique perspectives and experiences of the Latina women featured."

Reading these stories can help other Latinas who want to join this field as a potential career path. According to Zippia's research of real estate demographics and 2021 statistics in the United States, "13% of real estate agents are Latino."

According to Antillon-Mathews, Latinas face specific challenges such bias and discrimination to gender, ethnicity or language skills; lack of access to funding, mentorship and professional development opportunities; and cultural barriers. Despite all these situations, she sees a very bright future for Latinas in real estate.

"As the Hispanic/Latino population continues to grow and becomes a significant force in the U.S. economy, Latinas in the field are likely to benefit from increased demand for their services," she explained. "Additionally, efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the industry are likely to create more opportunities for Latinas and other underrepresented groups. Ultimately, the success of Latinas in real estate will depend on their ability to overcome challenges and capitalize on opportunities in a rapidly changing market."
