Baesman Group Inc. Provides Notice of Privacy Incident

Hilliard, OH- [02/05/2024] - Baesman Group Inc. ("Baesman Group") is providing notice of a recent event that may impact the security of certain information. Although Baesman Group is unaware of any misuse of this information, they are providing information about the incident, steps taken since discovering the incident, and what an impacted individuals can do to better protect against potential misuse of personal information as a result of this incident, should they feel it is appropriate to do so.

Progress Software Corp. publicly disclosed zero-day vulnerabilities that impacted the MOVEit Transfer tool. As a user of that tool Baesman Group promptly launched an investigation to determine the potential impact of the vulnerabilities' presence on the MOVEit Transfer server on the security of data housed on the server. Baesman Group's investigation determined that an unknown actor exploited vulnerabilities, accessed the MOVEit Transfer server on May 29, 2023, and exfiltrated certain data from the MOVEit Transfer server during that time. On June 21, 2023, Baesman Group discovered what data was present on the impacted servers. A health plan determined members in Florida were impacted.

Although Baesman has no evidence of any identity theft or fraud in connection with this incident, Baesman is notifying those individuals whose information was present in the system at the time of the incident. Baesman Group's review determined that information related to certain individuals may have been present in one of the impacted systems included the following types of information: name, address, health plan member number, physician/pharmacy name and phone number, and email address.

Individuals that have questions should contact Baesman Group's dedicated call center at (888) 811-0623, 6am-6pm PT, Mon-Fri, excluding holidays or visit Baesman Group's website at Baesman Group takes this incident very seriously and sincerely regrets any inconvenience or concern this incident may cause individuals.

Baesman Group encourages potentially impacted individuals to remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud, to review account statements, and to monitor their credit reports and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity. Baesman Group is providing potentially impacted individuals with contact information for the three major credit reporting agencies, as well as providing advice on how to obtain free credit reports and how to place fraud alerts and security freezes on their credit files. Should an individual wish to place a fraud alert or credit freeze, they may contact the three major credit reporting bureaus listed below:

Individuals may further educate themselves regarding identity theft, fraud alerts, credit freezes, and the steps they can take to protect their personal information by contacting the consumer reporting bureaus, the Federal Trade Commission, or their state Attorney General. The Federal Trade Commission may be reached at: 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20580;; 1-877-ID-THEFT (1-877-438-4338); and TTY: 1-866-653-4261. The Federal Trade Commission also encourages those who discover that their information has been misused to file a complaint with them. Individuals can obtain further information on how to file such a complaint by way of the contact information listed above. Individuals have the right to file a police report if they ever experience identity theft or fraud. Please note that in order to file a report with law enforcement for identity theft, the individual will likely need to provide some proof that they have been a victim. Instances of known or suspected identity theft should also be reported to law enforcement and the state Attorney General. This notice has not been delayed by law enforcement.

Potentially impacted individuals may also find information regarding identity theft, fraud alerts, security freezes and the steps they may take to protect their information by contacting the credit bureaus, the Federal Trade Commission or their state Attorney General.
