NEW YORK, Dec. 2, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fast Company, the only media brand fully dedicated to the vital intersection of business, innovation, and design, today unveiled the first names of its annual AI 20 list. The AI 20 honors the 20 most influential technologists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and thinkers who are building, regulating, and litigating the world of artificial intelligence. A new honoree will be revealed each day through December 22. Presented by Solidigm, a leading global provider of innovative NAND flash memory solutions, the AI 20 series will culminate in a virtual panel discussion hosted on fastcompany.com on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 2-3 p.m. EST.

"Together with our partners at Solidigm, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of AI's potential and unlock the ways in which it will lead us forward," said Damian Slattery, Fast Company senior vice president of marketing.

This year's list includes prominent leaders such as: DeepMind director of responsibility Helen King, Palantir CEO Alex Karp, SAG-AFTRA President Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, NVIDIA's head of energy efficiency Dion Harris, and Mozilla AI fellow Abeba Birhane. A new AI 20 leader will be announced each weekday of December with an accompanying profile that explores that person's AI impact, where they see both opportunities and obstacles for business innovation and their prediction and vision of AI's role in the future.

The thought-provoking virtual event will convene list honorees including Sasha Luccioni, AI and climate lead at Hugging Face, Richard Socher, CEO of You.com, and Robert Nishihara, cofounder of Anyscale, to provide valuable perspectives on AI's future - both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead in 2025 and beyond.
