Lodgify Adds Smart Locks Feature to Simplify Keyless Entry Management for Vacation Rental Hosts
Wednesday, March 5, 2025
BARCELONA, Spain, Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Lodgify, the vacation rental management platform for independent hosts and property managers, today announced the launch of Lodgify Smart Locks, a new feature that lets hosts handle all of their smart lock devices directly within its platform.
Instead of switching between multiple apps, hosts can now manage their smart lock devices from a single dashboard, ensuring seamless property access for both hosts and guests. Lodgify Smart Locks also automates processes to increase efficiency, improve security, and enhance guest safety and satisfaction.
Adoption of smart locks is growing rapidly in the vacation rental industry, with over 60% of respondents to the Lodgify 2024 Vacation Rental Industry Report saying they already use the technology. The survey also showed that a majority of hosts have embraced smart locks to improve guest experience. While keyless entry is intended to enhance convenience, managing these systems manually can lead to human-prone errors, including lockouts and unnecessary stress that disrupts the check-in process. Lodgify Smart Locks automates this by generating a unique, randomized code for each reservation and sending it to the guest in an automated, customizable message.
"Check-in is an important moment in the guest experience," said Alex Vuilleumier, COO at Lodgify. "Guests expect a smooth and flexible arrival, and any delay or confusion can set the wrong tone for their stay. Lodgify Smart Locks ensures secure, hassle-free access, allowing hosts to focus on providing great hospitality and operational efficiency."
In addition to reservation-specific, automatically-generated codes for guests, hosts can also monitor battery levels and synchronization status across all connected smart lock devices in their Lodgify dashboard, allowing them to address any related issues that might inconvenience guests or pose an obstacle to efficient cleaning and maintenance of the property.
Lodgify Smart Locks is compatible with the most trusted and secure keyless entry brands, including Nuki, an official partner for Lodgify Smart Locks. As part of this partnership, Lodgify users in Europe can get 15% off Nuki smart lock devices when they sign up with Lodgify Smart Locks by March 31, 2025. Available for an additional per-device monthly fee, hosts can activate Lodgify Smart Locks in just a few clicks within a Lodgify account.
