DALLAS, Feb. 26, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Perry Weather, a leader in weather monitoring and risk management technology, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with OpenAQ, a global nonprofit dedicated to providing open-access air quality data. This collaboration underscores Perry Weather's commitment to delivering best-in-class weather monitoring tools, empowering organizations with greater air quality insights and response capabilities to protect people and operations.
"The dangers of poor air quality become more apparent every year, with wildfires and pollution exacerbating the problem. This is why we are increasing our investment in product research and development to empower organizations with the critical insights they need to protect their communities."Through this partnership, Perry Weather is integrating OpenAQ's real-time air quality data into its platform, making critical air quality insights accessible to select customers where data is available, at no additional cost. In addition, organizations using Perry Weather on-site hardware with air quality sensors will gain access to enhanced features, including custom policies and alerts to enable faster response when pollutants reach critical levels, intuitive air quality visualizations and expanded pollutant tracking for a more complete picture of air quality risks.
As weather-related safety regulations continue to change, including new mandates from high school athletic associations like the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and federal agencies such as OSHA, organizations of all shapes and sizes are under increasing pressure to effectively monitor and act on environmental conditions.
"The dangers of poor air quality are becoming more apparent every year, with wildfires and pollution exacerbating the problem--especially in cities and high-risk regions like the West Coast," said Colin Perry, CEO and Founder of Perry Weather. "We recognize the urgency of these challenges, which is why we are increasing our investment in product research and development to ensure our customers have access to the most advanced air quality monitoring and response tools available. Our goal is to empower organizations with the critical insights they need to protect their communities."
Perry Weather's enhanced air quality monitoring tools benefit schools, municipalities, athletic organizations, construction firms, and other industries that rely on real-time weather data to protect individuals and maintain operational continuity. The newly integrated features will provide actionable data to mitigate exposure risks from harmful airborne contaminants (PM2.5, PM10 and ozone).
