Milestone Achievement: 100 Recipients and More Than Half a Million Dollars in Grants Awarded to Date
TORONTO, March 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ - Jobber, the leading provider of home service software, has opened applications for the 2025 Jobber Grants program. Now in its fifth year, this initiative celebrates excellence in home service businesses across the U.S. and Canada and accelerates their plans for the future. Applications will be accepted until June 11, with 15 selected businesses each receiving a $10,000 USD grant, totaling $150,000 in funding. Entrepreneurs at any stage--whether just starting out or well-established--are encouraged to apply at jobber.com/grants.
"Home service businesses are built by hardworking, passionate people who show up every day to keep our communities running," said Sam Pillar, CEO and co-founder at Jobber. "Jobber Grants is one example of how Jobber invests in the future of home service--helping business owners take their next big step, whether that's hiring their first employee, upgrading equipment, or expanding into new services. We can't wait to see how this year's recipients use the grants to grow their businesses and make an even greater impact in their communities."
To date, Jobber Grants has provided $625,000 to 100 home service entrepreneurs, enabling them to expand and grow their businesses. Designed with busy entrepreneurs in mind, the five-minute application is open to all home service industries, including lawn care, plumbing, residential cleaning, car detailing, and pressure washing. Grant recipients can use the funds to support their business aspirations, whether purchasing equipment, launching new services, investing in training, or boosting marketing efforts.
Jay Rawls, owner of Jay's Lawn Care based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, used the grant to purchase another work truck, which increased his team's capacity by 30% and enabled them to take on about 30% more customers. Ryan Mayer and Frank Curro, founders of Finaltone Painting Company, based in Maple Grove, Minnesota, used their 2024 Jobber Grant towards branding their fleet and uniforms, resulting in a 15% uptick in website and phone inquiries and appearing more professional on jobs.
Jobber Grants are awarded across several categories that highlight the diverse contributions of home service professionals:
-- Home Service Heroes - Business owners who keep our homes and offices
safe and running smoothly.
-- Career Builders - Business owners who help hardworking people build
meaningful careers.
-- Smooth Operators - Business owners who prioritize technology and
innovation to run a smooth business.
-- Community Caretakers - Entrepreneurs who give back to their local
communities.
Tara Shepherd and Chris Henderson, owners of Steady Does It Mechanical Services, LLC in Lima, Ohio, used their 2024 Jobber Grant to put a down payment on a mini excavator. They added, "The Jobber Grant isn't just for equipment, it's an investment in efficiency, growth, and service quality, positioning Steady Does It for long-term success. It helps strengthen our long-term business growth as well as supporting the Lima community. A more efficient plumbing company means faster water and sewer repairs for homes, residents, and local infrastructure."
Finalists for Jobber Grants will be announced in August 2025. To learn more or to apply, visit jobber.com/grants.
