Netcraft Launches New Real-time Threat API to Improve and Accelerate Collaboration with Infrastructure Providers

SALT LAKE CITY and LONDON, March 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Netcraft, the leader in cybercrime detection and takedown, has set a new standard for reporting threats in real-time via a new JSON-based API powered by its world-leading Cybercrime Disruption and Takedown platform. This new API gives infrastructure providers -- including domain registrars, registries, and hosting companies -- a free, real-time threat feed of abuse incidents originating on their infrastructure.
Netcraft has been a trusted partner working directly with infrastructure providers for more than 20 years, including building custom connections with the world's largest infrastructure providers. Netcraft's new API provides an alternative to email-based notifications that the long tail of infrastructure providers often rely on to identify threats. This new approach will allow for greater automation, speed, and accuracy to eliminate malicious content from the internet.
In addition to this free API, which covers attacks that Netcraft takes down on behalf of its clients, Netcraft is proud to work with the internet infrastructure community to deliver its complete threat intelligence feed products through its flexible platform -- providing enhanced coverage and opportunities for pre-emptive disruption.

The API supports both CSV and JSON formats, providing machine-readable threat data, including a unique threat identifier, URL, threat type, screenshot, and incident report.
