Cyngn Receives Notice of Allowance for 23rd U.S. Patent for its AI-Powered Autonomous Vehicle Technologies
Friday, May 30, 2025
Cyngn announces the notice of allowance for a new patent related to the Company's autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions.
MENLO PARK, Calif., May 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Cyngn Inc. (the "Company" or "Cyngn") (Nasdaq: CYN) announced the notice of allowance for a new patent related to the Company's innovative autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions.
The patent, Modular Sensor System For Automated Guided Vehicles, introduces a modular sensor system that is configured to be coupled to existing industrial machines while making few, if any, modifications to the industrial machine. The significance of this patent lies in the adjustability of the modular sensor system that may be used with different industrial machines having varied geometries and/or operation constraints.
"Our expanding patent portfolio reinforces Cyngn's position as a technology leader," said Lior Tal, CEO of Cyngn. "We were previously granted sixteen patents in 2023 and two in 2024, bringing us to a total of 22 granted patents -- a reflection of the strength of our long-term R&D and our focus on advancing autonomous capabilities. By securing IP in key areas like perception, navigation, and mapping over the past few years, we've built a strong technical foundation. Innovation and IP protection go hand in hand as we scale our DriveMod solution, and these patents enable long-term technological and commercial differentiation."
A Notice of Allowance marks a key step forward in the patent application process. Upon completion, the patent will add to Cyngn's growing IP portfolio and further strengthen its position in the sector. This milestone builds on recent momentum, including the granting of the Company's 22nd patent in April and its 21st patent in October.
