CoreWeave Appoints Meg Whitman as Independent Board Director

Former CEO of HPE, HP, and eBay to Join CoreWeave's Board
LIVINGSTON, N.J., March 17, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler(TM), today announced the appointment of Meg Whitman as an independent member of the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board"). In her role, Whitman will serve as Chairperson of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
Whitman has had a decorated career with extensive experience in leadership roles across the tech and public sectors. She most recently served as the United States Ambassador to Kenya from July 2022 to November 2024. Prior to that, she was Chief Executive Officer of Quibi Holdings, LLC, a mobile media company, from March 2018 to February 2021. Whitman also previously served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, a multinational information technology enterprise, from November 2015 to June 2017.

Before her role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Whitman was President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett-Packard Company from September 2011 to July 2015, as well as Chairman of its board of directors from July 2014 to November 2015. She also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay Inc. from March 1998 to November 2008.
Whitman has previously served on the boards of directors of The Procter & Gamble Company, General Motors Company, and Dropbox, Inc. She holds an M.B.A from Harvard Business School and an A.B. in Economics from Princeton University.
Today's announcement follows a series of exciting developments at CoreWeave including the Board's recent appointments of renowned tech investor Glenn Hutchins as Lead Independent Director and seasoned business executive Karen Boone as an independent member of the Board and Chairperson of the Audit Committee, CoreWeave's pending acquisition of AI developer Weights & Biases, and its strategic deal to deliver cutting edge AI infrastructure to OpenAI, with a contract value up to $11.9 billion.
