New SaaS Risk Analyzer & Identity Automation Showcase the Power of Josys AI
Thursday, July 3, 2025
PALO ALTO, Calif., June 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Josys, the SaaS Management platform that simplifies how IT works, today announced major updates to its product suite, including the AI-powered SaaS Risk Analyzer and new identity workflows that empower IT teams to improve security posture, reduce manual overhead, and streamline user management.
AI-Powered Risk Intelligence for SaaS and AI Applications
As IT teams face increasing challenges from SaaS sprawl, shadow IT, and the unchecked use of AI across their organizations, Josys has developed a proprietary SaaS Risk Analyzer to automatically surface critical security and compliance insights about every discovered application, facilitating a more consistent and intelligent app approval process. Powered by Josys AI, the Analyzer leverages open-source information, public data, and vendor-specific attributes to generate both a Security Score (0-100) and Risk Level Assessment (Low, Medium, High) for each app.
Additionally, the Analyzer identifies the extent to which applications are sharing data with third-party Generative AI vendors and whether the developer shares customer data for AI model training so IT is more informed about the risks posed by unsanctioned tool adoption. This new feature also adds contextual information about a discovered app's security posture, including its available SSO integrations, compliance certificates, and data protection policies. While the SaaS Risk Analyzer auto-populates all of this information for apps identified through Josys' shadow IT discovery process, the feature is also available for broad-based search, extending its value to other corporate teams such as procurement and finance when they need to evaluate new apps during purchasing and renewal cycles.
"IT teams need smarter, faster, and more automated ways to manage risk and deliver value," said Mahabaleshwar Bhat, Chief Product Officer of Josys. "By utilizing the power of Josys AI to retrieve and analyze information about discovered apps, we can arm IT teams with instantaneous risk intelligence that would have previously taken weeks or even months to acquire. These insights will create a new paradigm for more effective decision-making and tighter SaaS governance."
Automated Onboarding and Access Reviews with Intelligent Workflows
Josys has expanded its turnkey automation templates with two new workflows designed to streamline identity lifecycle management tasks and tighten access controls. The Automated Onboarding Workflow provisions all designated applications when a new employee is onboarded to the organization. IT teams can configure these workflows to grant access to company-wide tools by default, while also tailoring app assignments and access permissions based on user attributes such as department, location, or employment type. This group-based automation ensures every new hire receives the right tools immediately--without delays, errors, or manual provisioning, while also controlling access sprawl from the beginning of an employee's tenure.
The Automated Access Review Workflow adjusts user access settings immediately upon receiving completed responses during the access review survey process. If an employee confirms they no longer need a tool, access can be automatically revoked without manual intervention. Conversely, if shadow IT usage is validated, proper licenses can be assigned and brought under IT's governance with zero manual action required.
Together, these automated workflows accelerate day one readiness, reduce provisioning errors, and give IT teams a more autonomous toolkit controlling identities and access permissions.
Enhanced Governance, Control, and Operational Efficiency
Josys is rolling out additional platform enhancements that improve visibility, governance, and device control:
-- Audit Log Dashboard: Easily track all user and app-related actions
within Josys to expedite incident response and efficiently generate
reports to satisfy audit requirements.
-- Jira Service Management Integration: This new integration allows admins
to create Jira tickets directly from Josys to improve extensibility
between the two platforms and ensure Josys' recommended actions are
integrated into customers' existing workflows.
-- Expanded Device Management: Leveraging its MDM integrations with
Microsoft Intune and Jamf, IT admins can remotely lock or wipe devices
from within Josys, safeguarding sensitive data during offboarding,
device loss, or reassignments. In addition, employees can also request
new devices through the Josys Self-Service Portal, enabling IT to manage
hardware inventory more efficiently.
