PRIVACY ALERT: The Alcohol and Drug Testing Service Under Investigation for Data Breach of Nearly 750,000 Records
Tuesday, July 29, 2025
SAN FRANCISCO, July 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP is investigating a data breach that led to unauthorized access of the sensitive information of 748,763 individuals held by The Alcohol and Drug Testing Service (TADTS), a Texas-based firm that conducts drug and alcohol testing for private employers and compliance for state and federal agencies.
In July 2024, TADTS detected a compromise of data maintained in its systems. Some of this data was downloaded by an unauthorized actor.
Although the breach occurred in July 2024, TADTS did not begin notifying affected individuals until on or around July 18, 2025, which may have violated state and federal laws. The following information may have been compromised in the breach: names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers (SSNs), driver's license/government-issued IDs, passport numbers, bank/financial information, credit/debit card information, usernames and passwords, emails and passwords, health insurance information, US Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) or alien registration numbers, and biometric information.
If your personal information was impacted by this incident, you may be at risk of identity theft and other serious violations of your privacy. As a result, you may be entitled to money damages and an injunction requiring changes to TADTS's cybersecurity practices.
If you received notification of this data breach and wish to obtain additional information about your legal rights, please contact us today or visit our website at https://www.classactionlawyers.com/tadts.
