LibraryIQ and Ingram Library Services Partner to Empower Libraries with Smarter Collection Development
Thursday, August 14, 2025

ROCKVILLE, Md. and NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- LibraryIQ, a leading provider of data-driven solutions for library operations and community engagement, and Ingram Library Services, a division of global content distributor Ingram Content Group ("Ingram"), announce a strategic partnership to empower libraries. This collaboration will provide libraries with advanced insights into both the materials included--and not included--in their collections, enabling more informed, comprehensive, and community-aligned collection development.

Through this partnership, libraries will be able to assess collection gaps based on curated lists by age, genre and availability. By combining LibraryIQ's analytics expertise with Ingram's comprehensive catalog and distribution network, libraries can now easily identify high-interest and high-impact titles missing from their shelves and collections.

"LibraryIQ is thrilled to join forces with Ingram to give libraries the intelligence they need to build more responsive and representative collections," said Sara Roberts, Director of Product Management. "Together, we're providing libraries with the data and tools to ensure materials reflect the evolving needs and interests of their communities."

The collaboration enables libraries to strategically assess their collection data, uncovering key trends and identifying areas that warrant focused development. By analyzing current holdings and cross-referencing with curated lists, libraries can optimize purchasing decisions and reduce duplication--saving time, budget, and effort.

"We're proud to collaborate with LibraryIQ to amplify what librarians do best--curate collections that truly serve their communities. These curated lists, built by librarians and backed by Ingram's expansive catalog and insights into consumer demand, help ensure libraries have the right book at the right time. Our goal is simple: to support strong, responsive collections that empower every library to thrive," stated Carolyn Morrison, Vice President, Ingram Library Services.

Libraries of all sizes will benefit from this integration, gaining a clearer picture of what's available, what's missing, and what matters most to their unique patrons.
