Facing Shutdown, Cannabis Company Achieves Rapid Compliance with TEKLYNX
Thursday, August 28, 2025

MILWAUKEE, Aug. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- TEKLYNX International, the developer of industry-leading barcode labeling solutions that are backed by outstanding customer support, announced the successful implementation of its CODESOFT label design software and API integration at Green Aloha, a Hawaii-based medical cannabis company. The collaboration helped Green Aloha achieve 100% labeling accuracy and full compliance with state regulations in time to avoid a costly shutdown.

Green Aloha, which grows all its medical cannabis on the island of Kauai, faced a critical compliance challenge when the Hawaii State Department of Health introduced revised labeling regulations. Now, their products require more information--that was previously included on package inserts--to be incorporated directly on their small package labels. To bring their labels into compliance quickly, Green Aloha turned to TEKLYNX.

In just two days, TEKLYNX:

-- Deployed a custom-built API label printing form
-- Designed four label templates in CODESOFT label design software
-- Showed Green Aloha how it all worked, so they were able to print
        independently

The new label templates had 18 - 24 variable data fields--such as net weight, percentage of each cannabinoid, and dosage--and a QR code linking to lab test results, so everything that needed to be on their package labels could be. By using API integration, TEKLYNX connected Green Aloha's laboratory information management system to CODESOFT, eliminating manual data entry and reducing the risk of errors.

"I can't express how simple this whole process was because of the outstanding support TEKLYNX provided," said Steven Yost, Director of Cultivation at Green Aloha. "Most questions were answered within five minutes, and no issue took more than a day to get resolved. That type of support is invaluable."

TEKLYNX is committed to empowering small businesses and emerging industries like cannabis. By expanding its integration capabilities and offering user-friendly label design software, TEKLYNX continues to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

"Green Aloha's success story is a testament to our barcode labeling solutions and responsive customer support," said Doug Niemeyer, President and General Manager at TEKLYNX Americas. "We're proud to help businesses of all sizes achieve compliance and operational efficiency."
