BERKELEY, Calif., Sept. 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In advance of IBC2025, Eluvio today unveiled a new ultra-efficient capability intended to displace legacy satellite and point-to-point fiber for live global broadcast feed distribution (SMPTE 2110/2022) with Content Fabric distribution over commodity IP, delivering sub-second latency, multi-path redundant routing, and security-without cloud round trips or egress fees.

The Content Fabric now ingests raw video over IP (SMPTE 2110/2022 JPEG-XS) and MPEG-TS (UDP, RTP, SRT) and dynamically distributes all program streams-audio, video, and ancillary data-as Content Object "parts", and generates SRT/RTP/TS outputs to global takers on demand. Average global latencies are under 500 milliseconds independent of ingest and egress location. Built on the Content Fabric's novel zero-copy routing and distribution protocol, the transport is multi-path, fully reliable, and scales, bringing breakthrough cost efficiency and simplicity. Live feed "parts" persist, providing unlimited recording, replay, and archive without file copies or redistribution.

In addition, Eluvio announced several major new capabilities to the Eluvio Content Fabric (Bangkok Release) and Application Suite for direct-to-consumer (D2C) and B2B video distribution and monetization at scale for sports leagues, premium content owners, and streamers across the globe, which have powered growth to over 500 live events. New advanced viewing features include unlimited multiview, enhanced no-code TV and browser apps, versatile sales models, built-in entitlements, and dynamic ad insertion.

Eluvio also unveiled the first-ever fully automatic live sports highlights generation using inline agentic AI with zero-copies/retranscodings/exports, personalization, and generation during live events. Built into the Eluvio Video Intelligence Editor (EVIE) the feature uses the novel agentic AI pipeline, created by Eluvio's AI team, combining frame accurate multi-modal AI metadata tagging, speech-to-text, AI vector search, in-Fabric open source LLMs, custom models, 3rd party data feeds, and inline compositions.

Michelle Munson, CEO and Co-founder of Eluvio, said, "Our new live broadcast feed distribution is the kind of game-changing alternative made possible by the Content Fabric. It eliminates the need for expensive satellite distribution and dedicated point-to-point video while providing global sub-second latency and end-to-end security across both D2C and B2B use cases. Coupled with our deep AI-native features and D2C streaming stack, content owners can overcome decades-old barriers of content distribution and open vast new possibilities for monetization. This is what video-in-the-cloud was meant to be."

Eluvio keynote demonstrations will take place at IBC with details at https://wallet.contentfabric.io/ibc.

Key Capabilities & Benefits

New Live Broadcast Feed Distribution

The Content Fabric replaces satellite distribution, fiber point-to-point connections, and "ground-to-cloud" multi-point egress solutions for live video feed distribution, with a native end-to-end solution via the Content Fabric protocol. Eluvio integrated JPEG-XS decoding into the Content Fabric protocol using intoPIX JPEG-XS/JPEG-2K SDKs to ingest raw video-over-IP sources in addition to AVC/HEVC encoded streams received via UDP/RTP/SRT.

The same live feeds are available on-demand (D2C HLS/DASH), and recorded and distributed (sub-second) as transport streams via the Content Fabric with configurable SRT/RTP outputs built "just-in-time" from the Content Object "parts." The protocol encrypts sessions end-to-end, provides built-in authorization, and is inherently fully reliable and multi-path. It preserves all SMPTE 2022 individual streams, including video and audio program streams and ancillary data, to provide just-in-time global live feed distribution for both D2C and B2B use cases.

The ingest feeds can originate from any IP source including from cameras, encoders, and broadcast trucks in venue, with Fabric nodes co-located, or via SRT for wide area ingest, allowing the contribution to be extended beyond classic broadcast headend operations to on-site events or sporting locations.

The Fabric protocol localizes the distribution by design so that "parts" for published feeds are served locally from their publishing nodes and distributed parts naturally localize to their takers avoiding all unnecessary round-trips. Most importantly, one decentralized distribution serves every taker eliminating the scaling costs of multi-point cloud "push" technologies.

New AI Content Exploitation (Live, Progressive VoD, Highlights, Archive)

Eluvio hosts hundreds of thousands of live, archive, and library content for premium brands and creators, and with the Eluvio Video Intelligence Editor (EVIE), adds multi-modal AI tagging and indexing, search, and dynamic highlight generation. Content is instantly streamable, downloadable and monetizable with no additional egress or re-transcoding.

EVIE now brings the powerful and frame-accurate Eluvio AI Stack to live video as well as VoD. Highlights and more can be created during a live game with EVIE's built-in generator combining real-time tagging, play-by-play data posted to the live game "edge", shot aggregation, indexing and on-demand selection of key moments with the built-in AI Vector Search. The candidates are evaluated and assembled by EVIE. Duration and personalization prompts are also configurable to generate classic or custom results, and the final composition can be edited in place to adjust time ranges, search for new suggestions, or add and remove sections inline. New built-in ground truth pool editing provides secure, private pools for celebrity/athlete/logo detection and other custom models.

Benefits include:

    1. Automatic generation of highlights during and post-match without file
       copies/exports, transcodes or associated costs;
    2. Multi-modal semantic and textual search/clipping for key words or
       phrases, moments, or audio/music for live events, and
       discovery/monetization of the VOD library;
    3. Dynamic compositions comprised of live, VOD and hybrid content; and
    4. Micro-transaction offerings to embed in social channels and other
       AI-driven fan engagement upselling initiatives.
