Way.com Appoints Shiva Kumar as President

Veteran software technology leader to drive growth, innovation and strategic expansion for the #1 auto services platform
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 3, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Way.com, the leading auto services platform, today announced the appointment of Shiva Kumar as President, effective immediately. In this role, Kumar will oversee company operations and finance, drive strategic growth initiatives, expand partnerships, and accelerate innovation across Way.com's platform offerings. He will also work closely with the executive leadership team to strengthen operational excellence and scale the company's impact in the $2.2T+ auto ownership market.
Kumar brings more than two decades of leadership experience spanning operating roles, investment banking, finance, corporate development, and strategy across the mobility and technology industries. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of Mobility Technology at Piper Sandler, where he advised leading companies across marketplace, software, services, and hardware sectors.

Prior to Piper Sandler, Kumar was the Chief Financial Officer at a software logistics company, where he oversaw finance, corporate and business development, operational strategy, and investor relations. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in New York and later co-led the mobility technology investment banking practice at Jefferies, LLC.
Kumar holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, a master's degree in electrical engineering from UCLA, and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Kumar holds seven US patents and authored several conference papers.
