Schneider Electric Puts Energy Resilience at the Center of Climate Week NYC 2025
Tuesday, September 30, 2025

-- New research on reliable energy access and smart water management to
        guide business and policy action
-- Company leaders to outline future readiness with electrification,
digitalization, and AI-ready infrastructure that supports growth and
        jobs

NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, today outlined its plans for Climate Week NYC 2025, unveiling new research and initiatives focused on keeping power reliable, affordable, and resilient as demand surges from AI, advanced manufacturing, and electrification. At Climate Week NYC, Schneider Electric will convene leaders across industries to translate energy technology into competitive advantage, powering the future of productive industries and resilient local economies. The company will debut new analysis on reliable energy access and smart water infrastructure and will showcase practical strategies that help organizations harden operations, reduce risk, and improve efficiency.

"The world is entering an energy supercycle as AI, cars and mobility at large, buildings and industries electrify fast while infrastructure in many regions strains to keep pace," said Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman, Schneider Electric. "Our focus this week is on practical steps across demand, grid and supply that improve reliability, keep costs predictable, and add capacity faster for cities, industries, and communities worldwide."

Strengthening Reliable Energy Access with Distributed Solutions

Schneider Electric's Sustainability Research Institute has published a white paper, Energy Poverty: Schneider Electric's global vision for sustainable energy for all, reframing energy poverty as a triple challenge of access, affordability, and reliability. The paper highlights that between 685 million and 3.3 billion people could currently be considered energy poor, with an average global estimate of 1.3 billion. The paper proposes practical pathways centered on solar-plus-storage microgrids, and inclusive local governance--approaches that increase uptime, create local economic value, and reduce exposure to fuel volatility.

Water Resilience and Business Priorities

Schneider Electric also released findings from a U.S. C-Suite survey on water management, revealing where smart water infrastructure ranks among corporate and municipal priorities and exploring the disconnect between ambition and action. The report highlights the growing role of water in business resilience and urban planning, providing insights for leaders navigating resource scarcity.

Schneider Electric partners with Makersite to advance product sustainability through lifecycle intelligence

As part of its commitment to accelerating sustainable innovation, Schneider Electric has launched LC-Analytics (Life Cycle Analytics), a pioneering initiative that leverages artificial intelligence to generate digital twins for thousands of products. This solution enables the automated creation of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data--including product carbon footprints--and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), significantly streamlining ecodesign decision-making.

By embedding product-lifecycle intelligence into its portfolio through this partnership with Makersite, Schneider Electric is unlocking new capabilities to reduce the environmental impact of its products. LC-Analytics serves as a powerful catalyst in the company's journey to decarbonize its offerings and drive measurable progress toward a more sustainable future.
