Sumner County Emergency Communications District Launches New Public Safety Software Suite
GALLATIN, Tenn., Oct. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sumner County Emergency Communications District (ECD) has completed the implementation of the Caliber Public Safety software suite, marking a significant step forward in the modernization of the county's emergency communications and data management systems.
The new suite, featuring Caliber's CAD NG, Mobile, and Online RMS solutions, was deployed following a 14-month implementation process involving extensive planning, training, and collaboration between the District, Caliber Public Safety, and the 24 partner agencies.
"Rolling out a project of this scale required exceptional coordination, and Caliber provided consistent support throughout," said Michael Guthrie, Director of the Sumner County Emergency Communications District. "From several weeks of hands-on training to on-site support during the initial rollout, our teams felt prepared and supported every step of the way."
Caliber Public Safety, a business unit of Harris Computer Systems, partnered with Sumner County ECD to deliver a system designed to improve operational efficiency and enhance service to the community. The launch was supported by Caliber's implementation and support teams, who remained on site through the system's early operation, assisting with more than 3,000 calls in the first three days.
