Arelion and Cellusys partner to deliver suite of hosted roaming services
Wednesday, October 22, 2025

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Arelion today announced a partnership with Cellusys, the industry leader in roaming steering, fraud and security and analytics solutions for mobile operators, to bring a comprehensive suite of hosted roaming Value Added Services (VAS) to operators worldwide. Delivered via Arelion's global IPX and backbone, the joint solution gives operators a simple, scalable way to enhance roaming performance, security and subscriber experience whilst preparing for the challenges of 5G Standalone (SA) implementation.

Through this partnership, Arelion will offer operators:

-- Hosted Security: the Cellusys Signalling Firewall protects networks from
SS7 and Diameter, fraud, intrusion and signalling abuse in real time.
-- Roaming VAS: services such as steering of roaming, Welcome SMS and
campaign profiling help operators optimize traffic, increase revenues
        and improve customer engagement.
-- Analytics & Intelligence: real-time visibility into roaming traffic
flows and threat landscapes, enabling data-driven decision-making,
performance tuning and faster problem resolution.

The hosted roaming suite will be available via Arelion's IPX, enabling operators to avoid heavy investments in on-premise infrastructure, reduce complexity and activate new services quickly - with operations, updates and support managed end-to-end.

"This is an important step in the evolution of our IPX services which adds to our current connectivity solutions, enabling our customers to strengthen security, drive revenue and enhance their roaming capabilities over Arelion's global network," said Anna Maslewska, Head of Products at Arelion.

With the increasing complexity of roaming traffic, operators must secure new signalling protocols, manage latency-sensitive traffic and deliver consistent quality of experience. With Arelion's IPX and global backbone as the foundation, the hosted services suite provides operators with numerous benefits, including:

-- Signalling security aligned with GSMA/3GPP standards, ensuring
up-to-date protection against the latest threats.
-- Seamless support across multiple signalling technologies, ensuring
        smooth migration.
-- Plug-and-play deployment, enabling operators to scale fast in new
        markets.
-- Increased roaming revenues through optimized steering and engagement
        services.
-- Actionable insights via integrated analytics and traffic intelligence.
-- Reduced operational burden by outsourcing complexity to Arelion and
        Cellusys.
-- Global solution enabling traffic management and analysis across
Arelion's Tier-1 backbone and IPX platform.

"We are delighted to partner with Arelion to deliver our solutions on a global scale. Together, we enable operators to deploy roaming services and signalling security without heavy investments or delays, while providing the intelligence needed to operate smarter in the 5G world," said Brendan Cleary, CEO at Cellusys.
