Amanda Hawken is a writer, mosaic artist and painter of various mediums. Her debut novel was published in 2009. Her first short story, "Are We There Yet?" was published in 2024, in the New Zealand Wellspring Magazine. Hawken and her husband John share six children and six grandchildren.
