Thursday, March 27, 2008
Market-leading business Web site now offering LinkedIn users select company data plus instant access to their professional networks through digital content
NEW YORK, March 27 /PRNewswire/ -- BusinessWeek.com, the market-leading
business Web site, announced today that it has expanded its services to
business professionals through two key partnerships with LinkedIn, the world's
largest online professional network. With these features, BusinessWeek.com is
seamlessly integrating content and technology to put actionable business
information at its users' fingertips.
Under the two-way partnership, BusinessWeek.com and Capital IQ, a division
of Standard & Poor's, are providing select company data for LinkedIn.com's new
Company Profile feature, which was unveiled on March 20. Users who click on
the Company Profile feature find a business overview consisting of industry
statistics provided by BusinessWeek and Capital IQ, plus information about
that company from LinkedIn. The feature also provides a link to
BusinessWeek.com's Company Insight Center, the Web's premier free source for
company information.
In turn, BusinessWeek.com has added the Company Insider feature, through
which users can view their professional contacts on LinkedIn at companies
featured in BusinessWeek.com articles. The Company Insider feature, launched
March 10, marks the first of several LinkedIn Intelligent Applications that
will be integrated into the site.
"These new features expand the impact and reach of our content to both
BusinessWeek.com's 8 million unique users and LinkedIn's network of more than
20 million registered professionals," said Roger Neal, Senior Vice President
and General Manager of BusinessWeek Digital. "We are pleased to be working
with LinkedIn to offer these valuable new tools to business professionals."
