The Leader in Security Ratings takes home Gold for Best Overall Security Company, Co-founder Awarded Bronze for CEO of the Year

NEW YORK, Feb. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SecurityScorecard, the leader in security ratings and continuous risk monitoring, was a double winner at the 13(th) Annual Info Security PG's Global Excellence Awards®. The industry's top information security research and advisory guide named the firm the Gold Winner for Best Overall Security Company of the Year (100 - 499 Employees). SecurityScorecard's CEO and co-founder, Aleksandr Yampolskiy also accepted the Bronze Award for CEO of the Year (100 - 499 Employees).

More than 40 judges from a broad spectrum of industry voices from around the world participated, and their average scores determined the 2017 Global Excellence Awards finalists and winners. Winners were announced during the awards dinner and presentation on Feb. 13, 2017 in San Francisco attended by the finalists, judges, and industry peers.

This latest award is another testament to SecurityScorecard's continuing growth in the cybersecurity sector. In 2016, Penton Technology Channel Group named SecurityScorecard as one of the 5 tech companies to watch in 2017, placing them among companies such as IBM, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services. SecurityScorecard was also named as one of 10 SaaS companies to watch by InformationWeek.

"It is an honor for SecurityScorecard to be named a multiple winner at the Info Security Global Excellence Awards," says Dr. Yampolskiy. "SecurityScorecard vision is to help companies in a connected world develop trust by giving them tools to instantly understand, communicate, and improve each other's security rating. These awards are a testament to all the amazing employees that SecurityScorecard has and the work that they are doing."

SecurityScorecard recently unveiled their free Malware Grader(TM) to the public at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, which allows companies to monitor and receive infection alerts of malware that's emanating from their organization.
