AEG And HotelTonight Announce Exclusive Partnership At Live Event Locations In The Los Angeles Metro Area
Friday, April 21, 2017

HotelTonight is Now the Official Hotel Booking Partner of L.A. LIVE and LA Galaxy

SAN FRANCISCO, April 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- HotelTonight, the leading mobile app for last-minute hotel bookings, has announced a partnership with AEG, the world's leading sports and live entertainment company, making HotelTonight the official hotel-booking partner of L.A. LIVE and the LA Galaxy (MLS). The partnership, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, is HotelTonight's first partnership with an MLS soccer team in the U.S. in a first-time category for AEG. The relationship will expand on HotelTonight's goal of increasing awareness around the quantity of quality of hotels available nearby to event-goers and fans at L.A. LIVE and LA Galaxy events.

The partnership includes signage and branding at L.A. LIVE and StubHub Center in Carson, CA, home of the LA Galaxy, as well as digital and social campaigns and promotions. This includes signage across 12 screens throughout the L.A. LIVE district and in-stadium commercials, graphics, game sponsorships and promotions at Galaxy home games.

"Fans are often extending live event going experiences with things like dining and hotel stays, whether they are home or traveling. Sometimes that's planned and sometimes it's not. This partnership with AEG really brings the whole experience together for Southern California residents and visitors," said HotelTonight CMO Ray Elias. "AEG's Southern California venues are in close proximity to a number of our partner hotels, enabling fans to book rooms at great value up to the last minute."

"As the leading mobile app for last-minute hotel booking, HotelTonight is an ideal partner for AEG and the millions of fans who attend LA Galaxy games and events at L.A. LIVE each year," said Nick Baker, senior vice president, AEG Global Partnerships. "We are always looking for ways to add value to our fans' experience, and this partnership allows attendees to easily add on to their evening with quick and easy access to hotel bookings, helping to amplify their event experience."

In addition to L.A. LIVE and the StubHub Center, AEG owns and/or operates more than 120 sports franchises, events, tours, festivals and digital content holdings among others across five continents, including iconic Los Angeles assets, such as the LA Kings and STAPLES Center.

Across the board, hotel bookings are becoming increasingly last minute. With ticket buying becoming more spontaneous, live events are a catalyst for last-minute hotel bookings whether fans are traveling from afar or simply making a night out of a game or concert. More than 40 percent of HotelTonight bookings are within 50-150 miles of the booker's residence. With HotelTonight, fans can attend events with the confidence of knowing they can choose to make a night out of it by booking a great hotel, even at a moment's notice.
