ClickUp Launches a Project Management Platform for Everyone
Friday, May 19, 2017

Palo Alto based ClickUp looks to reduce complexity at every level of project management.

PALO ALTO, Calif., May 19, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ClickUp has officially declared a launch date of June 1st for their project management software.

The software has been under development for several months and is transitioning out of their BETA phase to focus on testing the product in the real world.

Employees at the startup say they're anxious to see how the market responds to their system in the project management space.

To differentiate from competitors, the Click Up platform provides a single project management interface that works well across all teams to let companies reduce complexity.

Early users have helped the team craft proprietary feature concepts, which have in turn contributed to ClickUp's goal of creating a unified project management platform.

"You look at these companies and they all use multiple project management platforms for different teams. When you have sales, marketing, development, and operations all working with different interfaces you end up with confusion," said Zeb Evans, CEO at ClickUp.

So far, the startup has been effective at growing a diverse user base over the duration of their BETA with projects ranging from enterprise software to video game development.

As the team transitions into the next phase of development, its central emphasis will shift from broad functionality to usability.

Zeb added, "Project management software currently available is either too simple or too complex for today's companies. We're hoping that ClickUp will be a welcome respite."

To manage the complexity, Click Up wants to let users customize everything based on their unique project, team, and workflow.

The startup believes teams will create different setups for different needs. For instance, a company may implement a simple setup for their sales teams with a more complex feature set for software development.
