Live Gamer Hires Gaming Vet, Kurtis Buckmaster, as VP Product Marketing

Former Pro Gamer Brings Deep MMOG and Marketing Experience to Executive Team

brought on gaming and marketing expert, Kurtis Buckmaster, as Vice President
of Product Marketing. Buckmaster brings rich professional and personal gaming
expertise to Live Gamer, including deep product marketing, promotions, and
online community experience.
Buckmaster has 18 years experience developing cutting edge online
community experiences for gamers, with more than 10 years of focus on
massively multiplayer gaming and major game publishers. He was most recently
Vice President of Marketing and Product Development Worldwide at Curse Gaming.
He has also served as Senior Manager, Community & Customer Service at GameSpot
(CNET Networks), and has held marketing positions at Ubisoft Entertainment and
Sony Computer Entertainment America. His expertise includes product design and
implementation, business development, Web 2.0, social networking, and
marketing.
On the personal gaming side, Buckmaster has heavy MMO experience across
genres, including leading and organizing numerous successful guilds and
organizations throughout games, including EverQuest, Shadowbane, and World of
Warcraft. He has been involved with professional gaming for 12 years, most
recently managing a world champion Battlefield series team, and was also a
founder and member of the first professional gaming team for Quake.
