- Offering Gramicci Customers the Convenience and Ease of Shopping on Amazon.com

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., May 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Furthering its efforts to service and reach loyal Gramicci consumers and build new "zealots" for its unique outdoor clothing, Gramicci today announced the availability of the spring 2008 assortment on Amazon.com in the Sports & Outdoors store (www.amazon.com/sports).

With nearly 80 items already available and others being added regularly, Gramicci's selection of men's and women's styles, including the famed G Pant, is becoming a prominent addition to the expanding retail offering of outdoor apparel on Amazon.com. The selection complements the wide array of sports and outdoor products already offered on the site. Of the 130 Gramicci items that will soon be available through Amazon.com, approximately 25 percent will be drawn from the Greenicci Collection of all-sustainable products made from hemp, certified organic cotton, recycled materials, or blends of each.

"We are flattered to be a prominent part of Amazon's outdoor apparel selection," said Marty Weening, president of the Agoura Hills-based Gramicci. "It is an ideal match. Amazon is a proven force in online retail and Gramicci is a trusted 26-year-old brand with a deeply rooted consumer following. Amazon offers us the chance to service our existing customer base while connecting us with a new online shopping community."

Teaming up with Amazon.com to offer customers other means to purchase the Gramicci line dovetails with the company's efforts to revitalize and extend the brand to new audiences. "One of the key features that will benefit Gramicci and our customers is the valuable feedback gained from customer reviews and many other community features on Amazon.com," he said. "We will use this invaluable feedback to better understand the desires of customers and find new ways to serve those needs."

Gramicci products are available now in Amazon.com's Sports & Outdoors store. Pricing is in line with brick and mortar retail pricing, which is in the moderate to better range. The G Pant, for example, will be priced at $50. Many of the Gramicci styles are eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping and Amazon Prime (some restrictions apply; see www.amazon.com for details).
