New Product Allows Companies to Monitor and Reduce Energy Use and Carbon Emissions Like Never Before
COSTA MESA, Calif., May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- eps corp, an industry leader in
managing energy use and carbon reduction solutions for industrial and
commercial companies, announced today the release of xChange Point(TM), a
powerful monitoring and control system that allows companies to track their
energy usage and CO2 emissions -- at the product level, plant level and
corporate level.
xChange Point is the premier hardware and software carbon and energy
monitoring solution designed to integrate system-wide information in real
time, providing executive and operational management with the data to track
and adjust energy consumption and carbon emissions. The product provides an
eagle-eye view of a facility's systems and subsystems and gives
decision-makers the ability to have near real-time information to make
decisions on a micro and macro level like never before. xChange Point helps
companies calculate their energy usage and carbon output at the product level.
"xChange Point is revolutionary in that it provides the real-time picture
of energy consumption and the related CO2 output at the point of use level,"
said CEO and Founder Jay Zoellner. "As a result, executives have the
information they need to inform their customers and shareholders of the
specific reductions their companies are making in energy use and carbon
emissions on a product, facility or even company-wide basis, in both
sustainable and financial terms."
Currently in beta testing at over a dozen facilities in California,
xChange Point will be available on a larger scale in June 2008. The product
is sold on a subscription basis and has modular "plug-and-play" components
that provide remote, real-time data for informed decision making.
eps corp created xChange Point in order to provide industry, manufacturing
and commercial companies with a system to green both their top and bottom
lines. While able to work well with demand response and other smart grid
signals, it provides additional benefits beyond traditional systems.
Decision-makers can gain valuable insights into trends and cost-concerns, such
as when to replace equipment and realize costs savings. This helps to improve
the top and bottom line, since companies will be using less energy, emitting
less carbon, and can measure their profitability more closely.
"This product is the culmination of seven years of expertise and
commitment to our customers. Our staff has worked very hard to deliver a
system that is years ahead of its competitors," said co-founder Shiva
Subramanya. "This system will truly help our customers deliver sustainable
results through financially compelling solutions driven by rising energy costs
and regulatory pressures."
