Ranks 30th out of Bay's Top Mid-Sized Companies

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Fortify Software, the leader in application security solutions for Business Software Assurance, announced today that it has been selected as one of the Bay Area's Best Places to Work for 2008. Fortify ranked 30th of mid-sized companies with 101-500 employees. The survey was a joint project by the San Francisco Business Times, San Jose/Silicon Valley Business Journal and the East Bay Business Times.

This year's list recognizes Bay Area companies for their work environment and corporate culture, and is based on results of an independent, third-party employee survey. The list surveyed 506 area businesses, and employees were asked to rate their companies on 10 areas including team effectiveness, feeling valued, trust in senior leaders and company benefits.

"We have a great team of dedicated employees who execute relentlessly on our company's vision everyday," said John Jack, Fortify's CEO. "It's our goal to provide them with a work environment where everyone feels valued and challenged when they walk in the door."

At Fortify, employees enjoy company perks such as stock options, an extremely competitive benefits package, telecommuting, onsite cafeteria and gym membership. The opportunity to work on Fortify's industry leading technologies attracts top tech-savvy talent who share the company's forward thinking vision of the security industry. Fortify is expanding globally and backed by Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield, & Byers -- one of the world's pre-eminent venture capital firms, responsible for building household names like AOL, Amazon, Sun and Google.

The full Best Places to Work list appeared in the May 2 issue of all three publications and is available via Bizjournals.com.
