High-End E-Commerce Site Gains Support from iVillage, Merges Billion Dollar Pet and Online Shopping Industries and Benefits Pet-Related Charities
CHICAGO, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Premium online pet boutique,
TailsandCompany.com, launches today with media and online support from
iVillage, owned by NBC Universal. The site offers boutique online shopping for
pet products and will claim a portion of the $41 billion spending power of
dedicated pet lovers nationwide.
With the motto "Return the Love," the site is the exclusive online
retailer of upscale merchandise for dogs and cats. "TailsandCompany.com offers
the ultimate one-stop shopping experience online for pet owners," says site
co-founder and 15-year pet industry veteran Nancy Baird. "You can't find the
selection of luxury items we offer anywhere else -- the site is one of a
kind."
With product price points ranging from $25 to $500, the online boutique is
supported by a branding partnership with iVillage, the leading online
community site for women. The agreement is expected to deliver valuable
impressions by harnessing the power of Internet ads.
"Our audience is passionate about their pets," said Linda Boff, Chief
Marketing Officer of iVillage. "We're excited to offer them the chance to
spoil their animal companions through working with TailsandCompany.com."
Not only will the site's customers have the opportunity to pick from
hundreds of unique products available, such as Kitty Catbernet(R), Poochi
Sushi(R), Mutt Merlot(R), and RoamEO(R) (pet locating GPS technology), but
they will also help fund the programs of one of the oldest and most respected
animal companion dog organizations through their purchase. TailsandCompany.com
will dedicate a portion of sales and a section of the site to raising
awareness and funds for the Guide Dog Foundation, its sister organization,
America's VetDogs and PAWS (Pets Are Worth Saving), the national model for No
Kill shelters.
TailsandCompany.com was founded by two Chicago women, Nancy Baird and Roe
Faraone, brought together by their own special relationships with family pets,
friends and a commitment to giving back to the pets that provide their owners
unconditional love. The site will continue to provide updates with new and
exciting features on health and wellness tips for pets and their owners as
well as new, private label products.
"We believe the nicest thing you can do for someone, is to do something
nice for their pet," Faraone explains. "With the premium products on the
website and the support of iVillage, we intend to continue to innovate and
create an exciting destination for pet owners."
