'Stephen Hawking's Favorite Places' Emmy® Win Caps Exciting Awards Season For Young Documentary Streaming Service CuriosityStream

Several CuriosityStream Films Honored This Year Among Best Documentaries Available on Television and Streaming

SILVER SPRING, Md., Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen Hawking's Favorite Places has won the Emmy® for Outstanding Graphic Design and Art Direction at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 38(th) Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards.

This is the first Emmy® award for CuriosityStream, a leading global documentary streaming service launched by Discovery Communications founder and former chairman John Hendricks two and a half years ago.

Another CuriosityStream Original film, David Attenborough's Light On Earth, also won international acclaim this year, including 2 Emmy® nominations, a BAFTA nomination, and Best Presenter/Host-Led Documentary at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, the natural history filmmaking industry's most prestigious awards.
