Binary Defense Recognized in the Gartner Market Guide for Managed Detection and Response Services for Second Year

The Gartner Market Guide defines MDR as follows: "The goal of MDR services is to rapidly identify and limit the impact of security incidents to customers. These services are focused on remote 24/7 threat monitoring, detection and targeted response activities. MDR providers may use a combination of host and network-layer technologies, as well as advanced analytics, threat intelligence, forensic data, and human expertise for investigation, threat hunting and response to detected threats." According to the guide, "by 2024, 25% of organizations will be using MDR services, up from less than 5% today."
MDR software looks at all types of threats that can affect an endpoint (desktops, laptops, notebooks, and so on) and is able to track what's happening at a system level on each endpoint, and, using analytics, determining whether abnormal activities are occurring. If malicious activity is discovered, an alarm is generated. The Binary Defense security experts monitor these alarms, dig deeper to see what is really going on, and communicate in real time to customers to help them take action to protect their business.
