MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., Sept. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, PC Matic, the world's only 100% American-made antivirus software, announced the release of 'Device Authentication,' a cutting edge feature-addition to the company's government, business and enterprise cybersecurity solutions, PC Matic Pro and MSP.
This feature, the first of its kind, provides industry-leading access control that identifies a unique device and allows network administrators to authorize specific devices their team may use when accessing PC Matic's cloud-based management console. Developed in response to cybercriminals targeting third-party tools and managed service providers to carry out ransomware attacks, this added layer of authentication further strengthens a user's cybersecurity posture by limiting the specific devices that have permission to uninstall, override, or disable antivirus systems - thus limiting the network's risk for a cyber attack.
