CheckLab Gives Comodo Containment Highest Marks in Their 'Advanced In-The-Wild Malware' Test
Thursday, November 7, 2019

In September, Comodo's enterprise endpoint protection platform and consumer protection products received a perfect security score from CheckLab's independent testing.

CLIFTON, N.J., Oct. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In September, Comodo's enterprise and consumer protection products received a perfect security score from CheckLab's independent testing. CheckLab's professional testing reported that all malware samples were blocked by Comodo's auto-containment security technology with no false positives reported. Comodo earned the Best+++ Protection Award. (https://checklab.pl/en/awards)

Fatih Orhan, SVP of Technology commented on the results, "We are delighted to receive this award and proud of the confirmation that our products protect customers from all known and unknown malware. Our default-deny approach automatically runs unknown files in a secure container where they are only presented with virtual disks, registry and COM interfaces. This isolation instantly prevents potentially malicious files from harming the host. We can then analyze the file to ascertain its trust rating and either allow it to pass or kill it. Performance is never impacted and, most importantly, the endpoint and network remain protected and secure at all times."

The IBM Cost of Data Breach report revealed that the average cost of a data breach in 2019 is $3.92 million, an increase of 12 percent since 2014. In another study between the Ponemon Institute and IBM, 69% of organizations said they don't believe that the threats they are seeing can be blocked by their antivirus software alone.

Comodo's Dragon platform is built upon a next generation, layered default-deny technology which isolates unknown files, ransomware and other harmful files, rendering them useless against endpoints and networks. Battle-tested on over 85 million endpoints worldwide, the technology has a very small endpoint footprint and provides complete and affordable protection for enterprises both large and small.
