CHANTILLY, Va., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTSI (R) Corp.
(Nasdaq: GTSI) an IT enterprise infrastructure solutions and services provider
to government, today announced that GTSI was one of two winners on the

The contract was awarded as a bridge, with initial funding of $4.9 million
to provide critical infrastructure upgrades while NOAA continues to draft the
larger multi-million dollar solicitation, called NOAA Link. NOAA Link will
call for a complete range of solutions for the agency's infrastructure over 10
years and is due to be issued within the next 12 months.
"As the hurricane season is in full force, we understand the importance of
giving NOAA the best tools to help the agency predict potentially life-
threatening storms," said Tom Kennedy, GTSI Vice President of Sales. "We've
worked with NOAA for 10 years and appreciate the confidence that the agency
has shown in GTSI by awarding us one of two slots on this important bridge
BPA. By helping to modernize NOAA's infrastructure, GTSI will enable the
agency to respond even more quickly and efficiently."
NOAA Link, when awarded, will bring NOAA leading edge technology for a
wide range of enterprise-wide IT standard solutions in critical areas such as
weather and water forecasts, search and rescue, climate change, environmental
images, coastal maps, and ecosystems management.
GTSI is offering its Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) approach to
solving many of NOAA's key business needs. The solution awarded to GTSI
includes asset recovery and reporting, cataloging of IT assets, deployment of
new and recovery of former assets. Through this process, GTSI will provide
valuation services of existing IT assets and perform the decommissioning and
disposal of NOAA's IT assets.
