Anixter International Announces Third Quarter 2008 Earnings Conference Call

GLENVIEW, Ill., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Anixter International
Inc. (NYSE: AXE), a leading global distributor of communication products,
electrical and electronic wire & cable, fasteners and other small parts, today
announced that it will report final results for the third quarter of 2008 on
Tuesday, October 21, 2008, and broadcast a conference call to discuss these
results at 9:30 am central time.
The call will be Webcast by CCBN and can be accessed at Anixter's Website
at http://www.anixter.com/webcasts. The Webcast also will be available over
CCBN's Investor Distribution Network to both institutional and individual
