Apex Learning Technology Courses Recognized by Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence

Awards of Excellence salutes outstanding use of Technology Courses in Wautoma School District
SEATTLE, Feb. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Apex Learning, a recognized leader in online learning for secondary education, was honored by the Tech & Learning Awards of Excellence for an outstanding education technology product used in a school or district. Apex Learning Technology Courses were recognized for preparing students for the future at Wautoma High School in Wautoma, Wisconsin.
Apex Learning Technology Courses empower students to go beyond being tech users to becoming tech creators. Students use industry-standard tools to complete projects in coding, design and animation such as developing an iOS or Android app, creating a 3D video game, or designing a fashion collection.
"Students taking the Technology Courses in our district are using problem-solving and critical thinking skills--competencies that are important in preparing students for the future and are applicable to any career, whether it's in technology or not," said Wautoma High School Principal Jennifer Johnson. "It's extremely important for our school to offer this type of technology, and it's not easy for rural districts to have access to curriculum that uses industry-standard publishing tools and also provides teacher support along the way. We want our students to be well-versed in the technology requirements of the future as they go off into the world--whatever their career choices may be."
The Technology Courses include support from online experts to ensure students can successfully complete their coursework and projects. This gives districts the opportunity to offer technology courses to students even if they don't have teachers with expertise in the industry-standard tools.
