Verizon Business Achieves Multinational Certification From Cisco
Monday, October 13, 2008

Company Designated as a Key Partner in the Delivery of Integrated Communications Solutions for the European Market

READING, England, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Business announced Monday (Oct. 13) that it has achieved Multinational Certification from Cisco for Europe, having met the equipment maker's rigorous standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction. The certification enables Verizon Business to deliver integrated solutions in collaboration with Cisco to its customers across Europe, and follows receipt of individual certifications in France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Verizon Business is one of only a select group of companies to achieve the pan-European Cisco certification. Stuart Curzon, senior vice president, Verizon Business senior vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: "Verizon Business is recognized as an expert in the delivery of advanced, high-quality IP communications solutions that help multinational customers do business better. These certifications recognize our ongoing investment in strategic partnerships, alongside our own infrastructure, to ensure we will continue to support our customers' evolving business goals."

Edison Peres, senior vice president for worldwide channels at Cisco, said, "We are committed to providing the tools, training and programs that help drive partner growth, differentiation and profitability. With Gold and Silver Certifications in multiple countries, Verizon Business has made an investment in developing the capability to deliver integrated and customized technology solutions across Europe."

As a Cisco Gold Certified Partner, Verizon Business has met the requirements for attaining the broadest range of expertise in four key specializations: unified communications, routing and switching, security, and wireless LAN. In addition, Verizon Business has integrated Cisco Lifecycle Services into its offerings, and is required to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Cisco Gold Certification provides Verizon Business with access to comprehensive sales, technical, and lifecycle services training and support available from Cisco.

The Cisco Resale Channel Program not only provides partners with training and support, but also validates their skills through a third-party audit. Cisco partner certifications denote that a provider has an increasing breadth of skills across key technologies and the ability to deliver integrated networking solutions. Partners must achieve two Gold Certifications and two Silver Certifications within Europe to become Multinational Certified across Europe.
