Avast appoints Nick Viney to lead its worldwide Telco, IoT and Family security business

Recognized industry leader joins Avast to oversee expanding cybersecurity segments
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 17, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Avast (LSE:AVST), a global leader in digital security and privacy products, has appointed Nick Viney as Senior Vice President and General Manager for its Telco, Internet of Things (IoT) and Family business unit. In his role, Nick will oversee Avast's global strategy for the business unit and will lead the development of the company's position in smart home security while expanding its overall portfolio of security products and partners including telecommunications providers and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Mr Viney joins Avast from Cyber 1, a publicly listed enterprise cybersecurity provider, where he was Group CEO. Prior to that, he held Regional Vice President roles at McAfee in both the consumer and corporate sectors during his time there.

Mr Viney is a frequent speaker at events, publisher on cybersecurity hot topics and fundraiser for a variety of charities.
