ROCKVILLE, Md., Aug. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TurningPoint Global Solutions, as a subcontractor to B3 Group and working with Booz Allen Hamilton, has successfully supported the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in deploying the VA enterprise Telecommunications Expense Management Solution (ETEMS). Based on TurningPoint's proprietary NiOSĀ® software, ETEMS standardizes ordering and delivery, streamlines invoices and payment processing, enforces enterprise policies, and provides customizable reporting and business analytics. The team configured and successfully connected its AWS GovCloud instance to the VA network, helping the VA to achieve significant operational efficiencies in record time and reducing the total cost of ownership for the solution.

TurningPoint managing partner David Hughes says the deployment helps the VA manage its $260 million annual telecoms spend more effectively.

"Like all federal agencies, the VA is being tasked to transition its telecommunication services to the new GSA Enterprise Infrastructure Services contract," Hughes said. "Using NiOS as the Department's ETEMS solution is helping the VA lower risk associated with that transition while improving operating efficiencies through a single portal that works with all suppliers."

NiOS automates the management of all telecom contracts, services, and assets; reduces government spending through expense validation and built-in cost control features; increases the productivity; and meets government security and Section 508 accessibility guidelines. In addition to VA, the NiOS product is used by multiple federal agencies including the National Institutes of Health, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Social Security Administration, and others. The VA is using NiOS 6, the newest version of the NiOS platform which offers a transition project management module, tailored to provide efficiencies and reduce the risk of complex telecom contract and technology transitions.

TurningPoint's subcontract to B3 Group will extend for 15 years if all options are exercised.
