Money Expert Shares Her Wisdom in a Six-CD Book Outlining the Steps to Starting and Running a Successful Business
Thursday, November 20, 2008
'Be Rich, Be an Entrepreneur' gives practical, no-nonsense advice to those who want to be their own boss
BRENTWOOD, Tenn., Nov. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Friday practices what she
preaches. With a Ph.D. in economics, she's a businesswoman who has literally
made a name for herself. Known simply as "Dr. Friday," she not only helps
businesses keep their accounting and taxes up to date, she is a radio host and
bestselling author.
It was only natural for Dr. Friday to pen a series of books --
conveniently available in a six-CD audio set -- about how to start and run a
successful business. Dr. Friday emphasizes the "successful" part.
The CDs cover all the bases:
-- Start with a Dream
-- Plan to Succeed
-- How to Get Financing
-- Know the Tax Laws
-- Franchising
-- Advertise Your Business
While the title of the book set is "Be Rich, Be an Entrepreneur," Dr.
Friday gives her own definition of the word "rich": "Rich is controlling your
time, money and life."
The first CD, "Start with a Dream," is about passion and vision. In fact,
the cover of the CD encourages the listener to "start building your dream
today."
"Each of the books in this set is a step toward your dream," says Dr.
Friday. "So don't let anything stop you from changing your life and making it
what you want. This book will walk you through the steps you need to get on
the road to building your dream."
In the second CD, "Plan to Succeed," Dr. Friday gives straightforward
advice: A business that fails to plan, plans to fail.
The next CD focuses on financing, bringing to mind the famous "Show me the
money!" line from the movie "Jerry Maguire." Dr. Friday asks -- and answers
-- key questions, including "Where can I find the money?"
When it comes to taxes, Dr. Friday's motto is: If you can't prove it, you
will lose it. The IRS will only allow deductions that you can prove. Her
advice, in short, is to keep impeccable records.
In "Franchising," Dr. Friday tells you the good, the bad and the ugly
about franchising. She cautions, however, that a franchise may not be wise for
people who like to make their own rules.
The complete "Be Rich, Be an Entrepreneur" set is available January 2009
