SPS Awarded for Excellence in Partner Development
CEDAR KNOLLS, N.J., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- As proof of the ongoing commitment to growing their data networking capabilities and integrated solution offers, Strategic Products and Services (SPS) recently received the Excellence in Partner Development award from Extreme Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXTR) for fiscal year 2008.
The award, given last week during the Extreme Networks North American Channel Partner Conference in Beverly Hills, CA, recognizes SPS for their commitment to positioning their team, solution offers and support processes to successfully sell, deploy and manage Extreme Networks products in a variety of networking environments.
SPS, a national leader in providing full-service integrated communications and enterprise convergence solutions, obtained Extreme Networks' Diamond Elite level partner earlier this year. Working with Extreme Networks, SPS provides enterprise-class convergence with resiliency and high availability features to match the needs of state and local government, education, health care and financial market segments.
SPS and Extreme Networks integrated business solutions are based on robust technologies, including the award-winning BlackDiamond(R) and Summit(R) switching families that are convergence ready, tested and certified to support Avaya's market leading IP telephony applications and services. SPS is also a Platinum Certified, Avaya Business Partner.
"I am proud to recognize SPS for its commitment during 2008 to developing its workforce and processes in support of Extreme Networks' converged network solutions," said Christopher Rajiah, director of North American Channels for Extreme Networks. "SPS exemplifies the positive momentum and ultimately, the increased value delivered to our mutual customers through our Channel Program."
SPS supports their Extreme Networks customers with comprehensive service offers through the Extreme Networks PartnerWorks program. SPS offers a single point of contact with access to technical support escalation, software support and hardware replacements, if needed, through Extreme Networks. Additionally, SPS participates on the Extreme Networks Partner Advisory Council to provide program input and gain insight into additional solution differentiators to support their customers.
"We are proud to be recognized by Extreme Networks for being a leader within their North American Channel Partner Program," said John Poole, SPS president and CEO. "Our solution positioning, commitment to certification, support offers, and partnership with Extreme Networks furthers our breadth, depth and competence enabling SPS to respond quickly to client needs."
