CMT's Lance Smith Debuts Children's Book on 'Good Morning America' Tomorrow

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- CMT "Top 20 Countdown" host Lance
Smith has more to do this week than just countdown the nation's top 20 country
music videos; Thursday he will be releasing his debut children's book, "The
Old Man and the Cat," on ABC's "Good Morning America."
"The Old Man and the Cat" is a tale of two unlikely friends who team up to
show the value of hard work and never giving up, while entertaining the
audience through rhythmic verses and colorful illustrations.
"I wrote this book to entertain the 7-year-old kid inside of me," says
Smith of the storyline. "I figured if it can keep my attention, it can keep
anyone's."
Smith teamed up with noted illustrator Manuel Conde for the book's
artwork. Conde has previously done illustrations for many national companies
as well as the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" television show.
