New England Patriots Linebacker Teams Up With Country's Top Personal Finance Publisher on New Podcast Series, Contributed Content

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Kiplinger Washington Editors, Inc., publishers of personal finance advice and guidance, today named Brandon Copeland, a starting linebacker for the New England Patriots and creator/co-professor of Life 101, a financial literacy class at the University of Pennsylvania, a Contributing Editor to Kiplinger.com, the country's premiere personal finance site.

Copeland, who is playing in his eighth season in the NFL, will work with the Kiplinger editorial team to produce original multimedia content that inspires young adults to take charge of their finances and consult with the Kiplinger sales team on commercial opportunities.

Additionally, Kiplinger and Copeland's company, Copeland Media LLC, are currently soliciting an exclusive sponsorship for an eight-episode first season of "Cope'ing with Money," a 2021 custom podcast series. "Cope'ing with Money" will be more than an interview series. Host Brandon Copeland would engage in candid conversations with well-known sports, cultural and business figures, encouraging them to share personal stories and hard-earned financial advice.

"My colleagues and I look forward to Brandon's ideas and contributions - he is the real deal and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team," said Robert Long, General Manager of Kiplinger.com. "Brandon's ability to capture the attention of young adults by delivering actionable personal finance advice is a unique skillset that will help us introduce our brand and content to millions of new readers."

"I'm excited for the opportunity to work with Kiplinger to help others create a better financial life for themselves and their families," said Copeland. "Kiplinger has been educating Americans about personal finance for decades, and I look forward to bringing my expertise and a fresh perspective to the team." Copeland's course at the University of Pennsylvania, his alma mater, is nicknamed "Life 101," and helps students understand key personal finance topics and how financial decisions early in life have lifelong implications.

Copeland also owns two real estate companies and a nonprofit organization called Beyond the Basics, Inc. Copeland won the 2020 National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) Alan Page Community Award, the NFLPA's highest honor, for his dedication to service. Copeland is a member of CNBC's Financial Wellness Council and the NFLPA's Advisory Council.
