Secure64 and cyan Partner to Offer DNS-based Security-as-a-Service
Tuesday, December 29, 2020

Comprehensive security and content filtering solution enables new revenue streams for Communication Service Providers.

FORT COLLINS, Colo., Dec. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Secure64, the leading provider of carrier-grade DNS solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with cyan AG to provide DNS-based Security-as-a-Service. The solution enables mobile and fixed line service providers (CSPs) to offer security and content-filtering services to their subscribers, creating new revenue streams for the CSP and satisfying subscriber demand for simple, low-cost yet powerful security and filtering solutions that work across all of their devices. Unlike other security services, this solution protects mobile, residential, education, government and business customers whether they are on or off the carrier's network.

This new Security-as-a-Service solution provides DNS-based security that protects subscribers and their devices when they are on the CSP network and an optional device-based security solution that protects them when they are off the network. Both solutions provide protection from malware, phishing, ransomware and other threats while allowing individual subscribers to block selected internet content and businesses to enforce Acceptable Use policies.

The DNS-based security component from Secure64 is pre-integrated with the comprehensive security filtering solutions from cyan. This integration increases solution reliability for the CSP while ensuring low latency and the best possible end user experience. A web portal allows the account administrator to select the content categories and timeframes for blocking content to specific devices or users within the network.

"In light of the recent rise in cyber threats and network demands resulting from the Covid19 crisis, CSPs are under immense pressure from business, government, education and consumer subscribers to better protect them against malicious activity," says Secure64 CEO Steve Goodbarn. "By combining our two best-in-class solutions, Secure64 and cyan are able to offer our CSP customers a new opportunity to increase ARPU through the added security and content filtering features their subscribers demand. This solution is light on the network, simple, effective and low cost for users. We are very excited by what we have accomplished with cyan and look forward to continuing to develop our partnership."

"The joint product will provide a full DNS-based security solution for telecom companies, with cyan software directly pre-integrated into the Secure64-DNS software," said Markus Cserna, CTO of cyan AG. "The integration times in telecommunication networks can be reduced considerably by this approach. In addition, the joint solution will further increase security and quality, for example to increase the reliability of systems."

The integrated solution will be available in Q1 2021.
