New Senior Housing News Report Reveals Industry Outlook for 2021

Occupancy rebound expected with uncertainty around asset valuations, new construction
CHICAGO, Jan. 26, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Senior Housing News, an Aging Media Network publication, is pleased to announce the results of its annual outlook survey on the state of the senior housing market.
Conducted in collaboration with Lument (formerly comprising legacy brands Hunt Real Estate Capital, Lancaster Pollard and RED Capital Group), the survey gathers the opinions of nearly 600 industry professionals including owners, operators, developers and more, polled about their senior living industry outlook for 2021.
The survey report includes highlights on how industry stakeholders are approaching COVID-19-related challenges in the year ahead, how they plan to invest in the coming year, when they anticipate an occupancy rebound and more.
In summary, respondents indicated:
-- Industry participants expect to see occupancy come back by the second half of 2021
-- Staffing remains the greatest industry challenge, year over year
-- Outlook is uncertain on asset valuations in 2021, as well as when new construction will return
"The survey results indicate a relatively positive outlook on the post-COVID recovery, with most respondents expecting occupancy to return by the latter half of 2021. The outlook is mixed on valuations and opportunities in the year ahead, but we're encouraged by the results relative to the severe impact of the pandemic on the industry in 2020," said Senior Housing News Editor Tim Mullaney.
